Baptism / Christening
First, we join with you in giving thanks to God for the gift of
your child. We are happy for you that God has given you a child.
It is a most wonderful event that brings so much joy. We rejoice
in your desire to help your child have the best possible start
in life through baptism or, as it is also called, christening.
We require all parents who enquire about a Christening/Baptism
for their child at Holy Trinity Tottenham to attend an informal
preparation meeting, in the Vicarage or at the home of a member
of Holy Trinity Tottenham. The aim of this meeting is inform your
decision to baptise your child by exploring together the meaning
of Christian Baptism. The Vicar will go into more detail about
the implications of Christian Baptism for parents and their children.
There will also be an opportunity to discuss any queries you may
have about the service.
After this meeting, you will receive a Baptismal application form.
We hope that what you have heard at the meeting will inform your
decision. Should you then decide that Christian Baptism for your
child is the right course to take at this time, please return
the completed form to the Vicarage.
In the meantime, we would be happy to see you and your family
join us in worship here at Holy Trinity. Our main service is at
10am on Sundays. We assure you of a warm welcome.
To arrange a baptism or if you have
any questions please email
the Vicar or call him on 020 8801 3021

Confirmation
Each year we prepare a number for people for confirmation to renew
the vows that were made on their behalf at Christening by their
parents and godparents and the wider congregation. Confirmation
is a course that takes up to eight weeks with one hour meetings
once a week usually on a Saturday, to instruct in the faith and
to answer whatever questions and thoughts may arise.
There is no commitment required to join the course and it is perfectly
possible to participate and then decide that you are not yet ready
to be confirmed. Courses are usually held in two groups - one
for young people between the ages of 13-16 and one for adults.
If you are considering confirmation
or would just like to take the course to learn more, or refresh
your memory of Christianity please do contact
us.

Weddings
Holy Trinity wants to support and help you as you plan for the
future and your special day. We provide an excellent venue for
an urban wedding and these are always a joyous occasion at which
everyone is made to feel welcome and relaxed. There is so much
to think about in arranging a wedding. You may find it helpful
to look at the Church of England website which provides a range
of advice and even a ceremony planner. To talk about weddings
at Holy Trinity, please email
the Vicar or call him on 020 8801 3021.

Funeral
Through what is inevitably a painful time of loss, Holy Trinity
seeks to provide support and comfort. Our clergy will tailor a
funeral service to the wishes of the family and can provide advice
on all the practical arrangements. It is the opportunity for friends
and family to express their grief, to give thanks for the life
which has now completed its journey in this world and to commend
the deceased into God's keeping.
Again you can contact the Vicar for
further advice, prayer and support, or even to discuss practical
arrangements and costs.
